On June 28, 2023, María Estela Rivero Fuentes, senior research associate and co-director of the Central America Research Alliance (CARA) visited the newly acquire offices of the Mexico City Global Center to spread awareness about the Pulte Institute for Global Development and CARA's current work in Mexico and Central America. To accomplish this goal, the Mexico City Global Center organized an event and invited scholars from the Universidad Panamericana (UP), Universidad Iberoamericana, and Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE).

Through her presentation, Rivero Fuentes explained that the CARA is mainly focused on generating knowledge that can be used in the creation, implementation, and evaluation of public policies. They’re also focused on the priority investigation lines of the Central America Research Alliance: human development, violence, governance, equality, and migration. Furthermore, she spoke about the many options they have to collaborate with Mexican researchers, faculty, and students.

The presentation led the audience to ask more questions about the research they are doing, the data collection, and the opportunities the Pulte Institute offers.
