Christine Santoyo

Assistant Director

Christine Santoyo is a native New Yorker who has lived and worked in Mexico City for 30 years.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Rosary College (now Dominican University) in River Forest, IL, and master’s in guidance and human development from the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City. 

As an education professional in Mexico City from 1979 to 1996, Santoyo worked as academic counselor at the American School Foundation, project manager at the Institute of International Education (IIE), and at LaSalle University as co-founder of the Center for Lasallian International Education (CIEL). 

In 1996, Santoyo moved to El Paso, Texas, where she worked as Loretto Academy’s middle and high school counselor for students and families. She returned to Mexico City in 2014 as assistant director of Notre Dame’s Mexico City Global Center.
